The well-traveled European owners of this home on Hypoluxo Island -- an exclusive community outside Palm Beach -- turned to Italy for inspiration when designing their beautiful waterfront villa. Like a vision from the Tuscan countryside, Casa La Coppola takes its name from the hand-painted domed ceiling in its grand foyer, which hangs over a marble spiral staircase leading to two guestrooms and an incredible master suite occupying its own wing on the second floor.
Bespoke materials create a space that's both inviting and exotic, and you'll find gorgeous examples throughout the house: A solid onyx countertop in a powder room, Italian marble and Brazilian cherrywood throughout the villa's five bedrooms and communal areas, even grand mahogany double doors inspired by a photo the owner took in Florence.
Artwork collected during the owners' travels -- a painting from Poland here, an enormous amethyst geode from Brazil there -- tell the story of a life richly lived.
